C5 Texas is turning 20! We are delighted to be celebrating this monumental milestone with our community, honoring our commitment to creating a world where our youth can thrive and have access to experiences, exposure and opportunities.
As we considered C5 Texas goals for the next 20 years, we kept returning to a simple idea:
Developing Leaders for a Better Future!
In the last two decades, we’ve helped shape hundreds of C5 Leaders around the 5 C's- Character Driven, Community Focused, Challenge Ready, College & Career Bound, and Committed to a Better Future!
As we commemorate 20 years of developing leaders, we’re look forward to providing continuous college preparation and career access, service learning opportunities, social awareness, leadership and helping Leaders to build their own personal development! We know that greater access to activities, support and education means a stronger community, and increased capacity to help them solve the challenges the world faces today and, in the years to come.
To make this happen, C5 Texas has an ambitious goal to raise $20,000 this year through our $20 for Twenty campaign.
Alongside our community of alumni, board members and volunteers, C5 Texas is grateful for the donors who power our work from all across Texas.
We ask you to consider a gift for $20 a month- that is one coffee from your local coffee shop a week or one less item from Amazon, for this year! If 84 people can dig deep, we can reach our goal of $20,000 by the end of this year! Will you help C5 Leaders and give up one coffee or one less Amazon item each week?
We’ve come a long way since 2003.
Thanks to supporters like you, since those early days, we’ve made a significant impact. We have been able to impact the lives of hundreds of at- risk youth in the central and north Texas area and as we move forward, we are working to forge partnerships and grow to be able to reach so many more. Moreover, the C5 Texas organization has steadily built up a global movement that we hope to reach as many youth as possible!
We still have so much work to do.
As we look toward the next 20 years, we are committed to building a world where our Leaders are able to build the futures they wish to see for themselves. For us, this means doubling down on our efforts to develop more relationships & partnerships with entrepreneurs and businesses to help our students see that any dream is possible.
It also means we must expand existing efforts like pathways programs and summer sessions to be able to include and reach as my youth as possible!
20 years is a huge milestone, and all of us here at C5 Texas are committed to 20 more years.
